Monkeypod Jam | Mango Jam
Product Details
What does Kauaʻi summer taste like? Perhaps it tastes like Monkeypod Jam’s artisanal Mango Jam, made with all Kauaʻi-grown mangos, so fresh they’re almost still warm from the sun. The mangos are cooked down only enough to make the jam perfectly spreadable on toast, swirl-able in yogurt, or simply delectable on charcuterie boards. Monkeypod Jam is committed to local, sustainably sourced fruit and exemplary preserving standards.
Impact
Monkeypod Jam wants to ensure that none of Kauaʻi’s fruit goes to waste. Dedicated to the Kauaʻi agricultural community, they have partnered with 25 local farmers to preserve the exotic flavors of Hawaiʻi’s tropical fruits. As supremely flavorful fruit and green farming practices go hand-in-hand, Monkeypod Jam is also committed to sustainable cultivation, making these preserves conscientiously produced from farm to jar.
Meet the Makers
What does a Kauaʻi schoolteacher do when placed on furlough? If you’re Aletha Thomas, you make jams and jellies with ripe, local fruit. A true master preserver, she uses a wide copper pot which heats fruits quickly to capture them at ideal freshness for the brightest flavors. Mindful of the roots of her artisanal preserves, she is dedicated to using only Kauaʻi-grown fruit from sustainable farms.

Kauai-grown sun-ripened mango, cane sugar, a hint of Kauai lemon juice, thickened with agar. 6 oz.
