The Campus

Common Ground is located on an 83-acre agricultural campus once home to Kilauea Sugar Plantation and Guava Kai Plantation.  We are working with a diverse and talented team of architects and builders to restore and upgrade the processing facilities, loading docks, administrative buildings, restaurant and overall infrastructure.

Driven by our ethos of sustainability and regeneration we envision a creative campus that strives for carbon neutrality – with electric vehicle charging stations, innovative wastewater management and powered by renewable energy.  Our guests will be encouraged to leave a light footprint and experience, through our regenerative organic farm, restaurant, food products, events and conferences, the best of a modern and re-invented Hawaiian food economy.

Our campus will not fully re-open until 2025, until then our team remains busy running the Food Innovation Center programs (Incubator, Accelerator & Online Shop), and making our facilities available for select programmatic and certain community events.

Please click on Visit to follow when our campus will be opened for selected events such as farm tours or Pau Hana. Please also find information about campus rentals for private events.
