These antioxidants, called Xanthenes, target acne-causing bacteria and release powerful free radical fighting agents. The Utara Bar is ideal for those prone to acne, eczema, psoriasis or other sensitive skin conditions. Meet the Makers
One of the main crops on Amy Arnett-Smith’s organic farm on the north shore of Kauaʻi is “The Queen of Fruit”: mangosteen. A lover of luxury skin care products but all too aware that most commercial brands are full of endocrine-disrupting synthetic fragrances, thickeners, colorants and fillers, she created Utara Organics out of a personal need for chemical and toxin-free skin care products. Amy holds herself to high standards—all products are carefully hand made in small batches on Kauaʻi with her home-grown mangosteen.
