Skin Care products that contain toxins and chemicals don’t just disappear—they’re washed down our drains and eventually make their way into our soil and oceans. Not only are Utara Organics products made with absolutely nothing toxic or synthetic but also their product boxes, shipping boxes, tape, and shipping labels are 100% post consumer recycled material, recyclable and biodegradeable. 

One of the main crops on Amy Arnett-Smith’s organic farm on the north shore of Kauaʻi is “The Queen of Fruit”: mangosteen. A lover of luxury skin care products but all too aware that most commercial brands are full of endocrine-disrupting synthetic fragrances, thickeners, colorants and fillers, she created Utara Organics out of a personal need for chemical and toxin-free skin care products. Amy holds herself to high standards—all products are carefully hand made in small batches on Kauaʻi with her home-grown mangosteen.
